Old fruit clings to the old way

Because the hurricane is heading our way, it’s time to pick the ripe fruit, otherwise this ripe fruit will fall and be trampled underfoot.  Ripe fruit falls easily from the cluster or is easily picked, it rolls off the stem with gentle persuasion.  The unripe fruit holds fast to the stem, clings to the vine and will endure the storm.

Sometimes picked early based on the use

Based on the use of the grapes, grapes can be picked early for their flavor and tartness.  Fully ripe grapes carry all the nutrients we hear about from scientists, Vitamins C, K, and Manganese, and fall easily from the stem.

John 15:5. “I am the vine and you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
