From Psalm 23

Today’s One Year Bible reading includes Psalm 23. I can’t get past the first two verses!  I am so grateful to the Lord for bringing me to my new place.

1 “The Lord is my shepherd;”        “I have all that I need” NLT

                                                            “I shall not want.” NASB

                                                            “I lack nothing” NIV

“I always have more than enough” TPT

my application:  I am cared for and all that I need is provided.

2 “He lets me rest in green meadows; NLT

“He makes me lie down in green pastures; NASB

“He makes me lie down in green pastures; NIV

“He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. TPT

my application:  He helps me choose his rest. When I need to take a break,  here at my new home, I have a beautiful green lawn to view with bird songs and the sounds of nature to enjoy.

“He leads me beside peaceful streams. NLT

“He leads me beside [b]quiet waters.  NASB

“He leads me beside quiet waters, NIV

“His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.   TPT

my application: the beauty of his creation, his creativity with color and music, his sharing character, a sense of wellness in his peace.

I AM OVERWHELMED WITH THANKFULNESS. OH, WHAT A WONDERFUL GOD WE SERVE.
